Hotel President Wilson, A Luxury Collection Hotel
Contemporary luxury in Geneva
VERIFIED LUXURY
Here are five things to know about us:
1. We verify luxury. Our highly trained inspectors visit every property we rate, evaluating based on up to 900 objective criteria. Our hotel stays span a minimum of two nights.
2. We pay our own way. No one can buy a rating; all ratings are earned through our objective inspection process.
3. Our global team of inspectors are anonymous at all times, so they have the same experience as a typical guest.
4. While we inspect both service and facility, our Star Rating system emphasizes service because your experience at a hotel, restaurant or spa goes beyond looks — how it makes you feel is what you will remember most.
5. We started in1958 as Mobil Travel Guide, and we created the original Five-Star rating system for hospitality.
Five-Star
These properties deliver an outstanding experience and consistently offer a highly customized level of service.
Four-Star
These are exceptional properties, offering high levels of service and quality of facility to match.
Recommended

Competition for luxury dollars is fierce in Geneva, but Hotel President Wilson, A Luxury Collection Hotel holds its own and then some. The stoic concrete and glass exterior reflects the personality of President Woodrow Wilson, for whom the place was named — formidable yet accessible.
Located on Geneva’s tony Quai du Mont-Blanc, which fronts Lake Geneva and the French Alps, this Starwood hotel group property offers a level of luxury you would expect. The whole hotel feels like a loose post-modernist interpretation of the 1950s with compartmentalized, functional and formal spaces.
The vibe here is thoroughly contemporary, though, with lovely luxurious touches. A 4,305-square-foot spa performs treatments by the exclusive beauty brand La Mer. There are also more than 10,000 square feet of meeting rooms and easy access to airport and trains.

Our Inspector's Highlights
- The expansive bi-level La Mer Spa is the first by the brand in Switzerland. Indulge in exclusive treatments featuring these luxury skin care products or just relax in the heated pool overlooking Lake Geneva.
- Enjoy classic, award winning French cuisine with a view at Bayview restaurant. The seasonal tasting menu is divine, but the lake vistas are the star at this white-clad fine-dining spot.
- In addition to the gorgeous lake vistas, Bayview offers a visually stunning 800-bottle wine cellar. Gleaming bottles are set in a glass cube and pulsating LED lights on the floor make it look like electric snow.
- Said to be the largest in Europe, the 11,000 square food Royal Penthouse Suite will definitely make you feel like a VIP with a private elevator, 12 bedrooms, a library, a panic room, bullet-proof glass windows and an extended outdoor terrace with unparalleled lake views.
Things to Know
- Both the financial district and charming Old Town are within walking distance of the luxury hotel.
- When the weather warms, the alfresco Pool Bar is open from morning until night serving light bites and drinks from its first-floor perch overlooking the Lake Geneva.
The Rooms
- The Geneva hotel sees a lot of business clientele and the 180 rooms and majority of the 48 suites reflect this with a straightforward, stylish design.
- Muted beige and white dominate rooms accented by darker tones — expect a clean, precise look that’s also plenty utilitarian (this is Switzerland, after all).
- Luxurious touches include Bang & Olufsen TVs and sound systems, Hermès bath products and marble bathrooms.
- The Crown Suite is one of several with softer natural hues, two separate entrances and an apartment-like feel.
The Restaurants
- Bayview, the much-acclaimed French restaurant by chef Michel Roth, serves beautifully crafted cuisine. Menu items include sea scallops with caramelized cauliflower, lamb cooked in three ways and pressed pears with crunchy nuts and ice cream.
- The intimate Lebanese restaurant Arabesque’s gold-mosaic-tiled floor and walls feel very Middle Eastern. Expect well-prepared, traditional favorites like hummus, tabbouleh and grilled meat and fish.
- A new whiskey bar near the lobby provides a small but eclectic collection of American and Scotch whiskies in an intimate contemporary-clubby atmosphere with wood-toned walls and plush chairs.
- Glow is a sleek spot offering views of the lake and the mountains, making for a picturesque place to grab a cocktail and dinner by a two-sided central fireplace.
