Our Inspector's Highlights
  • A visit to sunny Sydney is not complete without full appreciation of the views, so the Four Seasons is a great spot for round-the-clock sweeping scenes of the famous harbor.
  • Overlooking the hustle and bustle of Circular Quay, Grain offers a large array of whiskies originating from all over the world — best enjoyed during the bar’s Whisky Monday promotions — plus craft beers and fine local and international wines.
  • Along with its dedication to sustainability, the luxury hotel is also dedicated to giving guests a unique experience thanks to its respected and well-connected concierge team that includes a guest experience manager.
Things to Know
  • The team will ensure you’re dining at some of the top restaurants around town, discovering the best vantage points of the city and its surrounds (outside of your room), and celebrating any special occasion the most memorable way possible.
  • The staff is dedicated to sustainability and local sourcing — it can even tell you where exactly each and every oyster is from.
The Rooms
  • The recently refreshed guest rooms offer a sleek, modern stay with tech-forward touches like Bose bluetooth speakers and bedside control panels. The contemporary gray, white and turquoise color palette enhances rather than distracts from those unbeatable harbor views.
  • Almost every room offers gorgeous water sights, from the Deluxe City Harbour Rooms with lookouts over Walsh Bay and peeks at the gleaming sails of the Opera House, up to the Presidential Suite, which has panoramic views and even an excellent vantage point from the large soaking tub in the opulent bathroom.
  • Other local touches include stylistic prints featuring Australian animals from Sydney-based sculptor Anna-Wili Highfield. These contemporary pieces give the spaces a residential feel that is further enhanced by fresh flowers, plush couches and mis-matched patterned pillows.
  • Amenities include Christian Lacroix toiletries, down pillows, thick terry robes and twice-daily housekeeping.
The Restaurants
  • In the hotel’s lobby, Mode Kitchen & Bar continues Four Seasons' local values and dedication to sustainability. Helmed by Florentine chef Francesco Mannelli, the restaurant strives to only use local ingredients as much as possible, sourced from Sydney and New South Wales producers.
  • Boasting a 1920s vibe, the trendy signature restaurant serves up artfully prepared plates of contemporary Australian fare, such as Tasmanian pepper-crusted kangaroo loin, wood-fired Yamba king prawns, and a gorgeous grass-fed black angus ribeye sourced from New South Wales.

  • Before dinner, belly up to Mode Bar for a glass of local wine or a signature retro-inspired cocktail made with a few surprise ingredients. Opt for the 1902 for a complex sip of white rum, red cabbage, apple and lemon, or try Mezcow, made with cheddar cheese-spiked mezcal, yogurt and lime juice.

  • When you make your way to the hotel’s artisan bar Grain for its Friday-night champagne and oysters special, you can bet you’ll be enjoying the finest quality ingredients.

  • When you’re lounging by the outdoor pool, order from The Cabana to get fresh sandwiches and salads and even some cocktails.
