SeaDream II

Intimate elegance on the high seas
VERIFIED LUXURY
From the moment you step aboard SeaDream II, you’ll feel less like a cruise passenger and more like a guest aboard a private yacht. With just 56 staterooms and a crew that seems to anticipate your every need, the experience is as intimate as it is indulgent. Originally built in 1985 for Cunard’s Sea Goddess fleet, this well-tested vessel has been reimagined into a refined, casually elegant retreat at sea.

Thanks to SeaDream’s II petite size, you’ll easily glide into secluded ports that larger ships can’t reach. Days are unhurried, whether you’re stretched out on an outdoor Balinese dream bed or sipping champagne as the sun dips below the horizon. The onboard ambiance is effortless yet sophisticated — think teak decks and contemporary design. Curated dining under the stars, a surprisingly robust spa at sea and gratis extras from wine pairings at dinner in the Dining Room to a bevvy of water sports, SeaDream II certainly lives up to its name.

Our Inspector's Highlights

  • Capped at 112 guests, SeaDream II feels like a private members’ club where the bartender remembers your favorite cocktail by day two. The ambiance is effortlessly elegant with teak decks, candlelit dinners and an always-unlocked bridge where the captain might invite you in for a chat.
  • When anchored in a secluded bay, the back of the ship transforms into your own floating playground, stocked with paddleboards, jet skis, kayaks and even a trampoline. No need to tender to shore — just dive straight into the sea from the yacht’s marina platform.
  • Unlike massive cruise liners, SeaDream II slips into smaller harbors like Portofino, St. Barts or Montenegro’s Bay of Kotor. You dock where the mega-yachts do, stepping ashore into charming villages or pristine beaches without the usual tourist crowds.
  • A decadent highlight in the Caribbean, SeaDream’s signature Champagne & Caviar Splash party involves wading into crystal-clear water while uniformed crew serves you the event’s namesake luxuries on a floating surfboard. The party continues with a beach barbecue with grilled lobster and fresh tropical fruits.
  • Plan for at least one spa day aboard SeaDream II. The luxury liner is home to one of the world’s only Thai-certified spas at sea, complete with five treatment rooms and the option to indulge in a deep-stretching massage either on deck or on the beach when in port.

The Staterooms

  • SeaDream II’s staterooms feel like a refined retreat with warm wood paneling, marble accents and plush Belgian bedding. Though there are no balconies, the oversized picture windows (or portholes on Deck 2) keep you connected to the sea at all times.
  • The shower’s high-pressure, multi-jet system and Elm Organics bath products make it feel like a spa moment.
  • Forget generic chocolates on your pillow — here, you might find a handwritten note from your steward, a perfectly pressed linen sleep shirt or a fresh fruit plate tailored to your preferences. The crew quickly learns your habits, so your favorite nightcap might be waiting in your mini-fridge before you even ask.
  • If you book SeaDream II’s luxurious Owner’s Suite, you’ll enjoy a separate living area, a dining space for private meals and a marble-clad bathroom with a soaking tub. With extra space to entertain and the best views on board, it’s like having your own yacht.
