Lake Nona Wave Hotel

A technological trailblazer making waves in Orlando
VERIFIED LUXURY
Nearly four decades after EPCOT began celebrating the future at Walt Disney World, another forward-thinking Orlando brand has arrived in the form of Lake Nona Wave Hotel.

Opened in 2021 and considered the heart of the burgeoning, digitally-hip Lake Nona community, the property soars 17 stories in two distinctly wavy towers. Its exterior intrigue is only the beginning, with a sculpture garden, art collection, a vivid poolscape and more throughout its grounds. And once you step inside the rooms, some next-generation touches (see: floor-to-ceiling smart windows that leverage AI to keep guests cool) await.

A 10-minute drive from Orlando International Airport and a 30-minute ride from Disney excitement, Lake Nona Wave Hotel provides a different perspective of Orlando and a new, exciting way of experiencing all it has to offer.

Our Inspector's Highlights

  • Lake Nona Wave Hotel has 234 guest rooms and suites, all accentuated with bright fabrics, Frette linens and smart windows. Accommodations start at 422-square-foot one-king and two-queen rooms and go up to the 2,266-square-foot penthouse. The latter includes two bedrooms with the option to add a third.
  • The central Haven Pool is surrounded by cabanas that visually pop with bright pink, orange and blue hues. The cabanas are bookable for six guests. Feast on a pool menu with standouts such as black truffle-dashed wings and a mahi mahi-loaded souvlaki.
  • As you’d expect from a property that always has its eye on tomorrow, Lake Nona Wave Hotel’s Wave App is a must for staying on top of fitness schedules and on-property events. The app is also equipped to set up a keyless check-in, make dining reservations and control important in-room functions. Speaking of the on-site calendar, the hotel’s weekly agenda includes everything from mixology classes and trivia contests to yoga in the garden.
  • A stay at the Orlando hotel includes access to the Lake Nona Performance Club. The 130,000-square-foot facility includes a rock-climbing gym, a Mind Body Zone by Deepak Chopra with yoga, breathwork and barre offerings, and a multi-pool aquatics center.
  • BACÁN is an upscale concept that has landed Lake Nona Wave on the culinary map. Chef Guillaume Robin puts a broad focus on flavors stemming from the Americas, so expect favorites such as the birria-style short ribs and a lobster and burrata topped tostada to come from the bustling kitchen.

The Restaurants

  • The Living Room Bar lives up to its name by being a cozy and approachable space with multicolored plush barstools, a central bar and towering pink dogwood tree. The buzzy spot dishes out small plates that span from tostones topped with a grapefruit mojo to pork belly al pastor studded with compressed pineapple.
  • Nami, the property’s Japanese concept, has a chef’s counter and a cocktail bar with mixologists’ concoctions aplenty. On most Thursdays through Saturdays, you’ll find a 20-course omakase experience at the counter that we’d highly recommend you have reservations for.
  • Enjoy casual French fare at Garni Cafe Lake Nona for breakfast and brunch (pastries and croque madames) and dinner (bouillabaisse and chicken paillard).
