  • Thanks to a thoughtful design featuring natural elements like rough-hewn rock, dark woods and earthenware plates, Comal seems to blend right into the Cabo San Lucas hillside. Desert greenery adds a touch of lushness without detracting from the overall minimalist aesthetic.
  • Plates at the Cabo San Lucas restaurant are works of art, featuring razor-thin slices of raw produce and seafood, luscious sauces and carefully placed sprigs of fresh herbs. Freshness is paramount here and the dedication to prime sourcing shows in each and every dish.
  • In homage to its seaside location, Comal’s ever-changing menu is typically a seafood-forward affair, with raw bar offerings and whole fish presentations.
  • For the best vistas, request a table for two at the edge of the patio near the fire pit. You’ll enjoy uninterrupted views over the Sea of Cortez, plus a little extra privacy.

The Chef
  • Born in Mexico City, Chileno Bay Executive Chef Orli Del Angel brings his love of Mexican ingredients and global experience to the table at Comal.
  • Del Angel honed his skills with notable chefs in esteemed kitchens around the world including Mauro Colagreco, Martin Berasategui, Alex Atala, Guillermo GOnzalez, and The French Laundry in Napa. 
  • After stints abroad, Del Angel honed his leadership skills as head chef at Jorge Vallejo's acclaimed restaurant Quintonil. 
  • Chef Del Angel, with the expertise and support of Chef Yvan Mucharraz, Culinary Experiences Director, collaborates to curate remarkable dining experiences at Chileno Bay.
